Twice a month Amos Hiatt Middle School students in the “Litter”ary Club visit the ARL to read to the animals. The “Litter”ary Club students take a book of choice and reads to the dogs and cats for about an hour. The students and the animals enjoy reading and spending time together.

Amos Hiatt Middle School is having a food drive for non-perishable food items. The drive will stock the Hiatt food pantry & First Assembly Church’s food pantry. Amos Hiatt Middle School started a book club for sixth graders. Due to the tremendous turnout, the book club is split into three sections of roughly 20 students. The clubs meet Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays during lunch time. The students eat lunch, read the selected book, and discuss their reading.
