Sports

Looking to join a sport?  Check out the different sports pages!  Each page contains information about the sport, meet schedules, and coach contact information.  Remember your student can check out the activities board or check with the student engagement coordinator for more information.

Participation in sports requires a physical form to be filled out each year, as well as sports registration and signed concussion form.

You can get a physical at many places in the metro for free. Scavo Clinic provides free physicals to DMPS students. The address is 1800 Grand Ave, Des Moines, IA 50309.  Their phone number is (515) 242-7589.

If your student didn’t get registered for a sport during summer registration, you can complete the registration process HERE.

Need a physical form?  Click HERE. All student-athletes must be cleared by a doctor to show they are healthy enough to participate in athletics. Completing this physical form with your family physician or at a healthcare clinic and keeping it updated annually will allow your student to join sports teams at Hiatt and East.

There is a $15.00 fee associated with registering for sports, and you can pay those fees HERE.

NO FOR THE FEES 20-21 SCHOOL YEAR.
