Hiatt will RISE up!
Hiatt will RISE up to new levels!
We, at Hiatt, have recently started a new building-wide initiative around four foundations. The acronym for this initiative is RISE. Each letter in the acronym stands for one of our foundations:
“R” is for Resilience. This means that we will keep going even when it’s hard.
“I” is for Integrity. This means that we will do the right thing even when no one is looking.
“S” is for Safety. This means that we will honor boundaries in words and actions.
“E” is for Empathy. This means that we will work to understand the feelings of others.
Students are working to better understand these terms and to build skills in these four areas during their daily advisory lessons. Students are also being acknowledged by staff for displaying these characteristics throughout the school day with “Hurricane Hoorays!”.
We are excited to see the positive impact that focusing on these foundations will have on our school environment. We encourage our families and community members to join us in RISE-ing up to the challenge of showing resilience, integrity, safety, and empathy in all we do!
¡Hiatt implementará el programa de RISE hacia nuevos niveles!
Nosotros, en Hiatt, empezamos un programa en nuestra escuela acerca de cuatro metas. El programa se llama “RISE” (“Subir”). Cada letra en “RISE” representa una de las metas:
“R” es por Resiliencia. Esta palabra significa que continuamos tratando en situaciones difíciles.
“I” es por Integridad. Esta palabra significa que tomamos la acción correcta cuando nadie está mirando.
“S” es por Seguridad. Esta palabra significa que honoramos los límites de otros en nuestras palabras y acciones.
“E” es por Empatía. Esta palabra significa que tratamos de entender los sentimientos de los demás.
Los estudiantes en Hiatt hacen lecciones sobre estos temas en sus clases de asesoría. ¡Además, los adultos en Hiatt reconocen a los estudiantes que demuestran estas características durante el día con “Hurricane Hoorays!”
Estamos emocionados ver el impacto positivo que estas fundaciones tendrán en nuestra escuela. Queremos que nuestras familias se unan a nosotros al programa RISE y así alcanzar niveles más altos de mostrar resiliencia, integridad, seguridad, y empatía en todo que hacemos.
